What if we could all gather in an enormous circle. We could share the blessings in our lives and the gratitude we feel.
Oh wait, we can! This is your invitation to a virtual celebration of Thanksgiving -- here in the US and all over the world. I'm extending my hand and grasping yours. My heart fills up with love and gratitude for you and all we share.
I'm taking a turn now. I'm grateful for:
The blessing of beauty
The love of my family, Barnaby, Sheri, Emery, Siem and my cousins
Dear friends old, new and yet to meet
Everyone who ever read my books and readers to come
Abundance
Having extra to share
Kindness
Peacemakers everywhere
That's a start. What are you grateful for? "Post a Comment" below and take a turn. It means so much to hear from you.
Happy Gratitude!
Love,
Mandy

Mandy, Even though it is the day before Thanksgiving, I find myself seeking any type of gratitude without success. My wife passed away from alcohol related abuses and left me with a huge amount of secret debts plus an IRS tax lien. I have had a diificult time growing my business and my house is in forclosure. Please enlighten me as to what I should have gratitude for?
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous, Gratitude is not required and it sure is hard to force. But it does feel good and helps to heal so many wounds. Sometimes you have to start with something small like breakfast was good or your bed is warm. And that there is kindness and people who care. Thank you for letting us know so that we can keep you in our thoughts and wish you well. Sending love.
ReplyDeletenice Idea Mandy! I am grateful for so many things ... For the miracle that I am.
ReplyDeleteI am grateful I had tonight a very nice babysitter for my son and a nice neighbourfriend to join me at an evening for parents to exchange on how to teach our children to be media wise. I felt supported and connected. Great (as soo many other things I can be grateful for!

ReplyDeleteIn South Africa we do not have Thanksgiving like you do - but
ReplyDeleteI am so grateful for being blessed by people like you who reminds us all to bear fruit, to remember we have a future and hope in our Father Who never fails us
Best wishes to all. As I was reading the posts, I realized that sometimes what's going on in your life influences what you feel you can be grateful for. I have been at the top and I have been at the bottom, and I think what I am really most grateful for is that when I have been at the bottom somehow I have been able connect with that part that is able to be thankful for something, even if it is small. If I could not do that, I would be in in big trouble. Happy Thanksgiving Mandy!
ReplyDeleteI am Grateful for Mandy Evans and what you taught me decades ago that I continue to learn and relearn. What a gift you gave.
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for Mandy Evans who has started this circle of gratitude. I would like to add my Ho,Opono prayer for the first Anonymous writer who has had such a difficult time. I am sorry, Please forgive me,Thank you, I love you.
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for my dearest Bas, Hero, Feike, David and Benjamin, for my friends close and far away (and you can take that one personal, Mandy), and for the not always easy, but very clear messages from above that I am on the right track.
ReplyDeleteAnd always, always, that I've learnt the wonder of gratitude.
Dear Mandy, here in the Netherlands we do not have a special day to be aware of all the things we are grateful for. And while we are living in a different time-zone I take the freedom to react on your invitation, two days later :)I try to make all my days a thanksgiving day, and that is not easy, always. When I am down, I forget that there are zillions of things to be grateful for. The air that I can breathe, the chair that is carrying me. The clean water from the tap. The moment I am aware of these simple things I feel again that gratefulness is the highway to unconditional happiness. And than, there is no end to gratefulness, like there is no end to the universe. The people I love and who love me, the warm friendships as with you. The house we live in, that keeps us warm. The school my son attends. The fact we live in a country without war. No end, I just have to remember ... Thank you dear Mandy, for helping me remembering today :)
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for those gifts in my life that didn't look like gifts initially, and for being given the wisdom to recognize them as such.
